About the Author
Ty Bettis is a husband, father, grandfather, and cancer survivor who believes life’s most difficult seasons often reveal their deepest truths. After decades in the electric industry leading teams and guiding complex projects, Ty faced an unexpected diagnosis of Stage I laryngeal cancer in 2023—an experience that challenged not only his health, but the very voice he had relied on professionally and personally.
Through journaling his journey and reflecting on faith in real time, Ty discovered that suffering does not erase hope—it refines it. His writing combines honest vulnerability, steady perspective, and a quiet confidence rooted in Scripture.
Ty and his wife, Misty, live in Oregon, where they enjoy time with their two sons, daughters-in-law, and grandson. He is available to speak about faith, resilience, and the lessons learned through his cancer journey.
